L. Manlius Torquatus, 82 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.82 g, 12 h), with L. Cornelius Sulla,, military mint moving with Sulla. L•MANLI – PRO Q Helmeted head of Roma to right. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Cf. Babelon (Manlia) 7 and (Cornelia) 42, Sydenham 759 and Crawford 367/3. An interesting and sharply struck brockage mint error. Good very fine.
