It is unclear whether the reverse die used to strike this coin included the regnal year or not. Antioch was the only mint to strike this reverse type with an obverse bust type depicting the emperor in consular robes and holding a mappa, with surviving examples all dated regnal year 8. An undated version of this reverse type was struck at the mint of Constantinople (see Sear 645-6).
