China People's Bank of China 50,000 Yuan 1950 Pick 856. A scarcer type note due to its high denomination status and limited time in circulation. Although dated 1950, this issue was introduced in December 1953 and was withdrawn in April 1955. The vignette on the face of the note features Xinhuamen gate of the former Imperial Garden Zhongnanhai, which is adjacent to the Forbidden City in Beijing.
