China Chinese American Bank of Commerce 1; 5; 10; 50; 100 Dollars 15.7.1920 Pick S230p; S231p; S232p; S233p; S234p Front and Back Full Denomination Proof Set. The Chinese-American Bank of Commerce was founded in April 1919 in a joint capital venture between six Chinese and five American merchants. Its was originally headquartered in Peking and later moved to Shanghai on September 24, 1920. Along with the headquarters in Shanghai, it maintain five additional branches in Hankow, Harbin, Peking, Shangtung, and Tientsin and operated until it closed it doors in 1929. This is a complete denomination proof set from the banks first issue which was printed by the American Bank Note Company. All are notes are graded by PMG and unaffected by issues on the card stocks. The grade of Choice Uncirculated 64 is attributed to the $1 back proof; the grade of Gem Uncirulated 66 EPQ is attributed to the $5 face proof, $50 face proof, and $100 back proof; and the grade of Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ is attributed to the $1 face proof, the $5 back proof, the $10 face and back proofs, the $50 back proof, and the $100 face proof.
