The Security Banknote Company was granted printing rights by the Republik Indonesia after a decree was issued that cancelled Dutch coins and notes in circulation. As the Dutch notes were being withdrawn, this note, and the lesser 1 Rupiah were released to ease in commerce. A pleasing and high grade Specimen of this interesting type.
