Seleucus I Nicator (312-281 BC). AR tetradrachm (27mm, 17.06 gm, 3h). Uncertain mint in Cappadocia, northeastern Syria or Mesopotamia, shortly before 281 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣEΛEKOY, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, monogram. Cf. SC 50 (with secondary control below throne).
