James I (1603-25) gold Britain Crown ND, S-2625, N-2091, 2nd Coinage of 1604-19, Tower mm (struck 1612-13), VF Details "surface hairlines" NGC. Cataloguer's opinion: a very poorly struck having almost no wear, luster around the legends, full flan, no abuse. All the weak areas are from strike. Surfaces are normal for a hammered gold coin of this period.
