Charles II gold Elephant-hallmark 5 Guineas 1668, S-3329, 1st Bust, AU50 NGC, a choice and pleasing example of this first type of the large milled gold "fivers" with some luster and exceptionally fine surfaces, the strike even and quite sharp, high rims, delightful old reddish gold toning. First year of this denomination to use the Elephant hallmark, indicating that the gold specie used to make this coin came from The Africa Company of Merchants.
