George I gold Guinea 1726, S-3633, 5th Bust, MS64 PCGS, gleaming with bright luster, surfaces all but mark free and truly choice, portrait sharp and pleasing, reverse crisply detailed except for the center sunburst cross. Fine old-gold color. Small stain on the letters "B R" in the right obverse legend (should be easily removable, but not in the slab of course). Rare grade, and quite obviously one of the finest available anywhere. As a class, guineas are far rarer than the immensely popular sovereigns and especially so in an outstanding state of preservation as seen on this very special coin. From The Estate of John C. Hugon.
