George II gold Half Guinea 1753, S-3685, Old Bust, MS64 Terner PCGS, boldly struck and intensely lustrous, a gem of a coin having wonderful old-gold color and superb eye-appeal. Rare so fine. Noted on the grading insert as having been in the collection of Dr Jacob Y. Terner and long listed in the Terner Registry at PCGS. The cataloguer (Dr Terner's advisor) has never seen its equal, and in the original Terner sale mentioned that this date eluded him and Dr Terner for years.From The Estate of John C. Hugon.
