George V gold Proof £5 1911, S-3994, KM822, PR66 Cameo NGC, a superb example having deeply mirrored fields with the frosted portrait in stark relief against the fields. Typically, the St George motif on reverse is not frosted but brilliant. If you are unfamiliar with these proofs, and/or viewing only on the internet, take note that the vertical "lines" on each side, in the fields, are not hairlines but are raised die-striations arising from how the Royal Mint prepared the dies; they are normal.
