Victoria copper Specimen 10 Cents 1866, KM-Pn 120, Crowned bust of Queen Victoria left / Chinese characters, Hsiang Chiang I Hao (Hong Kong One Tenth) in a beaded circle, Hong-Kong Ten Cents 1866 around, Hong Kong Mint trial striking in brass, with mostly copper but containing 10% more zinc, Specimen 62 Brown PCGS. An obvious circulation strike with significant remaining mint-red color and notable die-cracking. Pridmore notes only a Proof struck in copper (Prid-57a), not this circulation striking in brass. Included is a copy of the 1997 letter from the Royal Mint stating that this piece is brass.
