Confronted busts of Gordian, laureate, draped and cuirassed right, and Tranquillina, diademed and draped left / Tyche seated left, holding rudder and cornucopiae; in left field, denomination mark (E). Varbanov 4611. AMNG 2399. Dark olive-green patina. Nearly very fine. Also, Marcianopolis. Gordian III (AD 238-244). Æ (7.62 gm). Laureate and draped bust III right / Zeus seated left, holding patera and scepter. Hristova & Jekov 6.36.1.3 (same dies as illus.). Varbanov 1916. A few scattered rough spots. Nice dark green patina.
