Coins, Medals, Tokens, Jetons and Notgeld, An interesting accumulation formed over 35 -40 years which includes primarily French national material from about 1848 -1918. Regular issue coins and Jetons are present beside various tokens, medals, some pseudo-coins and military items. Some approximate data: Medieval coins to 1789, including provincial issues with most attributed, number about 63 pieces. Next are 16 pieces of 1789 -1815 followed by about 56 pieces after 1815. Six misc. items then follow, several being essais. Next are 18 medals of the 19th century plus 9 more modern. Quality seems typical for such material. Next are about 216 pieces of tokens, and such, housed within box #1. The second box houses about 384 pieces which seem to be tokens, medals, Jetons and notgeld. They too seem to be in typical quality for such material, some quite wretched but some choice. Within these 600 non-coins there seems to be surprisingly little duplication. Many of the pieces appear to be carefully chosen for their historical interest. Most items are in minor metals with only a bit of silver. The great majority are attributed in Dana Roberts' careful printing, many written in the 1960 -1978 era and thus perhaps not current. All descriptions and quantities are approximate. Sold as is, NO Return. Dana Roberts Collection and Study Group.

Estimate: 2000.00-3000.00 USD
