Republic 25 Cntv 1871 -1913 Date Set, KM-36 25 Centavos 1871. KM-50 dated: 1883, 1884, 1885 (nicely detailed), 1886, 1888/6 (nice for variety), 1892/1 (lustrous but usual weak strike), 1893/88 (nice for date), 1895 (some luster and well struck) and 1896 (nice for this final year before debasement). KM- 50a (subtype since fineness reduced from 0.900 down to 0.835): 1899 (nice example with interesting die modifications), 1900, 1901, 1902/1 (with large "F", not the earlier "P", stamped boldly above the fineness area), 1904/1 (closed top 4 and usually punched 0.835; rare date), 1907 (for wear = better than VF. Very scarce date), 1912 (very scarce; soft details as always), and final year of type, 1913 (despite using a badly abused die this example is quite pleasant and thus in rare quality). Generally the quality is slightly above average while technically the range is VG- VF+. Sold as is, NO Return.Dana Roberts Collection and Study Group.
