Scottish and Wales 1792 -1930 Token Assortment, Various items emanating from around 1792 until about 1930 are apparently attributable specifically to either Scotland or Wales. Most interesting are two incused DEANSTON COTTON MILL items which were impressed on worn smooth halfpence planchets around 1794. Very Attractive is a glossy mint state 1/2d dated 1797 of Dundee for the West Cone Glass Works; it includes a nifty edge inscription. Unusual is an 1813 Glasgow - Phoenix Iron Works full copper Penny in attractive VF. A rather unattractive but apparently rare 1813 farthing of J. Wilson (sugar leaves and a tea chest) is a 22 mm. lead item shown as Seaby ST-A32. Included are a couple of "unofficial farthings". Most pieces are from well over a century ago. The nine Welsh items are mostly copper. Overall an interesting assortment in rather typical quality level for the items. Sold as is, NO Return. Dana Roberts Collection and Study Group.

Estimate: 400.00-800.00 USD
