LUCANIA. Paestum (Poseidonia). Second Punic War, 218-201 BC. Sextans (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.27 g, 10 h). Wreathed head of Demeter to right, with mark of value (••) behind her neck. Rev. ΠAIS Boar standing right, with spray of leaves and mark of value (••) below. Crawford, Paestum 6/3. HN Italy 1198. Rare. Excellent late Hellenistic style. Good style and fine surfaces. Scratch on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
