MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 12.57 g, 11 h), c. 98-95. Basket (cista mystica) from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, ΠEPΓ monogram; to right, serpent-entwined staff of Asclepius; between snakes heads, ΛY monogram. Kleiner, Hoard 16. Pinder 97. SNG France 1721. Nicely toned. Obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
