MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 27.5 mm, 12.81 g, 12 h), c. 92-88. Basket (cista mystica) from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, ΠEPΓ monogram; to right, serpent-entwined staff of Asclepius; between snakes heads, EY above ΠPYT monogram. Kleiner, Hoard 33. SNG France 1736-7. Well struck, bright and sharp. Good extremely fine.
