Head of the deified Alexander III to right, wearing diadem and an elephant's skin headdress, with aegis around his neck, and with horn of Ammon on his forehead; in aegis, tiny Δ. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Athena Alkidemos advancing right, hurling spear with her right hand and with a shield over her extended left arm; to right, monogram of ΑΧ above eagle with closed wings standing on thunderbolt to right. SNG Copenhagen 29. Svoronos 162. Lightly toned and attractive, with a light golden luster. Obverse lightly struck from a slightly worn die, reverse very sharply struck, otherwise, about extremely fine.
