PHOENICIA. Aradus. Diadumenian Caesar, 217-218. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 15.58 g, 12 h). MAP•OΠEΛ• ANTΩNINOC•K• Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Diadumenian to right. Rev. ΔHMARX EΞ YΠATOC Eagle standing facing, with spread wings, his head turned to left and holding wreath in his beak; between legs, crescent. Prieur 1284 cor. (same obverse die). A clear example, bearing the full legend on the obverse, in contrast with the example in Prieur where a part of the inscription was not visible and, thus, omitted in the description. Nearly extremely fine.
