Carinus, as Caesar, 282-283. Antoninianus (Billon, 23 mm, 2.97 g, 12 h), Siscia, 1st officina. M AVR KARINVS NOB C Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Carinus to right. Rev. PRINCIPI IVVENTVTI / PXXI Carinus, as first among the young, standing facing, his head turned to right, holding baton in his right hand and scepter in his left; on right, two standards. RIC 185 (Ticinum). A splendid example with a magnificent portrait of the young Caesar; very rare with the Greek K replacing the C on his name and the only available example of this rare type in the market. Good extremely fine.
