ITALY. Venezia (Venice). Ludovico Manin, 1789-1797. (Gold, 34.65 g). Lot of ten gold Zecchini of the last Doge of the Venetian republic, Ludovico Manin. He was forced to abdicate by Napoleon in 1797, ending the line of Venetian Doges, which had lasted over a millennium, beginning at the end of the 7th century. Most with striking flatness, otherwise, extremely fine (10).
