Jishnu. 4th-5th centuries A.D. Æ (9 mm, .3 g). Conch shell (shankha) / Brahmi legend Jishnu. Pieper 1058; MACW 4902. A boldly struck specimen with the king's name Jishnu completely visible. Scarce. Nearly very fine .
There is no inscriptional evidence of Jishnu, but he appears to have been a local ruler in the Ujjain region after the collapse of the Gupta Empire.
