Sri Tapanasa. 7th century A.D. AR dramma (12 mm, .78 g). Crowned bust of king right / Three pellets; Brahmi legend Sri Tapanasa around. MACW 4905-9; MNI 269-76. Rare. Toned. Very fine.

One of the last coins issued by the Hindu kings of Multan before the Islamic invasion in 712. The name Tapanasa means 'of the Sun', and may be a reference to the famous Sun Temple of Multan.
