15th-17th centuries A.D. Æ (19 mm, 6.51 g). Warrior running left, within dotted border / Prominent dagger, flanked by sun and moon; all within circular border. Not listed in any catalog. Extremely rare and choice. Brown patina. Very fine.
This medieval coin type is not recorded so far. The running warrior is seen on Hoysala and Vijayanagar coins, but here the warrior is running left instead of the usual right. This is probably a post-Vijayanagar issue.
