Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I. Ca. 171-145 B.C. AR tetradrachm (32 mm, 16.97 g, 12 h). Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides I right, wearing helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ above, ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ in exergue, The Dioskouroi on horseback right, holding palms and spears; in lower right field, monogram. Bopearachchi Series 6W; SNG ANS 469-71. Bold portrait and well centered strike. Superb and lustrous. Choice extremely fine.
