2nd century B.C. Æ (12 mm, 1.73 g). Brahmi legend Shosheniye arranged clockwise / Crescent. Not listed in any catalog. A pleasing specimen with complete details. Very rare and important coin. Dark brown patina. Very fine.

This rare type was earlier misattributed to Kausambi. However, the legend Shosheniye indicates it was issued by a hitherto unknown city called Shosheni.
