Kanishka I. A.D. 127/8-ca. 147. Æ 1/4 unit (17 mm, 4.29 g). Crowned king standing facing, holding spear and sacrificing at altar at left, Bactrian legend around / Ithyphallic Oesho (Shiva) standing left, holding trishul and kalash, with Bactrian legend OHPO at right. MACW 3185-7. This is the Eastern or Jammu-Kashmir type of Kushan copper coinage. A nice strike on a full flan, with the excited figure of Shiva clearly depicted. A choice specimen. Rare to find in this condition. Attractive earthen-green patina. Very fine.
