Kujula Kadphises. Ca. A.D. 30-80. Æ tetradrachm (23 mm, 7.49 g). Bust of king right, wearing a diadem and cloak over shoulder, with blundered Greek legend around / Heracles standing facing, head to left, holding club in right hand and lion skin over left forearm; Kharoshthi legend around Kujula Kasasa Kushana yavugasa dhamathidasa (of Kujula Kadphises, Kushan yabgu, steadfast in the law). MACW 2844-51; ANS Kushan 44-56; HGC 12, 309. A pleasing specimen struck on a broad flan, with lovely patina. Black patina. Fine.
