SICILY, Syracuse(?). Æ Sestertius (35mm, 17.52 g, 10h). Countermark applied during the reign of Tiberius, AD 14-37. Diety standing left, wearing crescent headdress, in an oval countermark, and radiate helmet right, in a circular countermark on a bronze sestertius of Augustus. Pangerl 65 and 66. Host Fair, c/m's VF, green patina. Rare. Well struck countermarks.
