MEROVINGIANS, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Circa 500-580. AV Tremissis (15mm, 1.25 g, 12h). IIΛIOIITИITIV, diademed and draped bust right; diadem consisting of I with pellet above / IOT I IVII, Victory, with cruciform head, advancing right, holding wreath; below, pellet above cross. NM –; cf. Belfort 5339 and 5873; cf. MEC 1, 367 and 371-2 (both refs for obv.); cf. Tomasini Group JAN 5-8 (for rev. prototype). VF, a few marks, a little ragged.
