A fine example of a note used in the establishment of the State of Israel.
mils was the currency of the British Mandate of Palestine from 1927 to May 14, 1948, and of the State of Israel between May 15, 1948, and June 23, 1952, when it was replaced with the Israeli lira.
Reverse: Mosaic from the floor of an ancient synagogue at Beit Alpha; the denomination "100".
Obverse: Mosaic from the floor of an ancient synagogue at Beit Alpha; the denomination and "Israel" in Hebrew and Arabic.
