MUGHAL: Shah Jahan I, 1628-1658, AR ¼ rupee nisar (2.77g), Patna, KM--, dated regnal year 4 on the obverse, 5 on the reverse, 2 testmarks, porous surfaces, F-VF, RRR. Patna is an extremely rare mint for the nisar coinage of Shah Jahan, unpublished in KM and not represented on CoinArchives, though known for the last few years of his predecessor, Jahangir.
