ABBASID: AE fals (4.34g), Junday Sabur, AH151, A-J327, clear mint & date, citing the governor 'Abd al-Malik b. Yahya as li-ahl junday sabur, with the countermark referring to the caliph al-Mahdi, amara al-mahdi / akramahu Allah followed by uncertain symbol, F-VF, RRR. Probably the same variety cited by Shamma on page 250 (without the countermark). A similar example, but with 2 countermarks, sold in our Auction 31, Lot 388, for $280.
