TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (41.96g), Robinson-59 (Plate 12.1), 67mm, the tò (mythical antelope) facing right, with feathery legs and holding a branch in its mouth // 8-spoke wheel in the center, Buddhist legend around in Burmese letters ("city of great happiness"), one small piercing, wonderful example, choice EF, RR. This magnificent piece may have been pierced for suspention, perhaps for religious purposes.
