Pontic Kingdom, Uncertain. civic issue, time of Mithridates VI. ca. 130-100 B.C. AE 27 (26.28 mm, 22.75 g, 8 h). Male head left, wearing bashlyk, 2 c/m's: a helmet and a facing head (possible Gorgonion?) / Eight-rayed star; bow to left. Cf. SNG BM Black Sea 974 ff.; Cf. HGC 7, 312. Good VF, bold strike, well-struck c/m's, reverse a trifle rough. Rare.
