Andronicus II Palaeologus and Michael I. . 1282-1328. AE 21 assarion (20.81 mm, 1.89 g, 1 h). Constantinople mint, Struck ca. 1295-1320. [AVTOKPATOPЄC] PωMA[I]ωN (or similar - mainly illegible or off-flan), Andonicus and Michael, both wearing crowns, standing facing, holding labarum in inner hands between them and raising outer arms to chest / [+]THC / [M]AKЄ / ONIA[C], ethnic in three lines. SBCV 2441; DOC 690; PCPC 173. Good VF for type, flan has parallel, diagonal edge clips (as struck) good detail on obverse, striking contrast on reverse. Rare.
