Maya Parrot Bowl from El Salvador, ca. 400 - 800 A.D. It is 7-3/4” in diameter and features a trio of parrots, probably macaws, in flight, encircling the exterior. The tondo is decorated with a Lamat glyph surrounded by a band of pseudo glyphs. There are two stabilized stress cracks, else the bowl is intact, with vivid paint and good mineral deposits. Ex Amiguet’s Gallery. Value range: $650 - $800.
