Attractive Roman bronze double phallic amulet, 1st - 3rd Century A.D. , well-preserved and surmounted by a large suspension loop. 4 x 2.7 cm. Phallic amulets were popular apotropaic devices used to ward off evil and for general protection. They were suspended from bronze oil lamps and similar items. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
