Anne (1702-14). Gold Guinea, 1714, Post-Union, third draped bust left, legend surrounding, ANNA.DEI. GRATIA. toothed border around rim both sides, Rev. Post-Union crowned cruciform shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown.MAG BRI. FR ET. HIB REG., weight 8.34g (Schneider -; MCE 226; S.3574; Fr.320; KM.534). Two light parallel hairline scratches on obverse, deeper short scratch in field near Queen's name, a few other tiny marks, otherwise with mint brilliance, practically extremely fine, reverse better. The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Anne by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
