João V gold 6400 Reis 1736-B AU55 NGC, Bahia mint, KM151. An elusive issue, significantly more difficult than Rio-minted issues and with a correspondingly higher value. Only two have been certified by PCGS and NGC to-date, this being one of them. Light fiction can be found on João's cheek, with a few stray marks in the fields, but otherwise a lustrous and attractive specimen, one which may be challenging for most collectors to find again.
