Napoleon III silver Specimen "Government Bond Issue" Medal 1852 SP63 PCGS, Divo-138. A considerable medal weighing 210.75 grams, struck on the issuance of government bonds (noted at 4.5% on the scroll in Liberty's hand). The fields are glassy, with reddish tint along the devices, including the bust of Napoleon, which is both struck to epic depth and superbly textured to a finish that perfectly straddles the line between matte and lustrous. Housed in a PCGS oversized holder.
