Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. August 1-1/2 Taler 1664 AU55 NGC, KM450.4, Dav-LS77. An interesting large taler issue with "1 1/2" stamped into the planchet. The surfaces display an enticingly deep silver and lilac tone uniformly settled across both sides, with a pleasing darkening around the legends providing a framing effect. Nearly uncirculated, with only light wear at the higher points and pleasing glossy fields. Housed in an oversized NGC holder.
