Edward III (1327-1377) gold Noble ND (1361-1369) UNC Details (Damage) PCGS, London mint, Treaty period, 7.68gm, S-1502, N-1231. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship / Floriate cross with Є in central quadrilobe, cross potent mm. Struck during the 9-year period of the Treaty of Brétigny in which Edward III surrendered his claim to the French throne. Crimped flan, otherwise pleasing detail with much luster present.
