Charles I (1625-1649) gold Unite ND (1636-1638) AU55 PCGS, Tower mint, Tun mm, 9.07gm, S-2692, N-2153. An unusually round and well-produced Unite, definitively and centrally struck giving excellent detail to the devices (particularly to the portrait of Charles which is rarely encountered so clear as this). The flan is a deep mustard in color, its original surfaces somewhat matte but hinting at underlying luster. A premium selection of this popular precursor to the Pound.
