Though designated as repaired by PCGS, it is unclear exactly what that classification entails, as no obvious repairs are evident. Besides some indication of tooling in the fields on the reverse, the coin remains attractive with an unusual matte appearance, Charles's portrait bold and still well-detailed. This large gold denomination is an ever-popular and highly collected type, and is the last year of issue for featuring Charles.
