Victoria Proof 6 Pence 1862 PR62 NGC, KM733.1, S-3908, ESC-2308 (R3). Reeded edge. Deeply toned with charcoal tones on the obverse and reflective blue coloration over much of the reverse surfaces. An extremely rare proof date that, if not unique, certainly has no more than two or three examples extant; even currency strikes are listed as R3 in ESC and, quite frankly, this piece must be far rarer than they. A seldom repeated opportunity for the advanced collector of British proofs.
