Victoria Proof Gothic Crown 1847 PR60 NGC, KM744, S-3883. UN DECIMO on edge. Lightly handled with numerous hairlines in the fields in line with the grade - and yet this coveted Crown retains excellent eye appeal and a firm place within the PR60 grade level. Bright and reflective (unusual for the type which usually has encountered considerable toning), the centers white with a thin gold halo to the devices and legends. The peripheries and recesses have darkened to a moody gray, adding a two-tone effect to this offering. Thoroughly pleasing and an excellent type specimen.
