Edward VII gold Matte Proof 5 Pounds 1902 PR62 PCGS, KM807, S-3966, W&R-404. Clearly a coin which encountered little handling since its issue in the 1902 coronation proof set of Edward VII, this large matte-gold offering shows pleasing mustard surfaces with a subdued glow, every detail still present with few distracting marks to the planchet. Only some light breaks to the matte surface at the high points hold this coin back from the choice level of certification. A pleasing representative of this popular type.
